Business, Competitiveness and Industry Development Committee of the Legislative Chamber and the Ecological Party’s faction held a joint meeting, and discussed prospects for implementing hydrogen technologies, reliable provision of the economy with energy resources, and increasing energy efficiency.
In the meeting were present MPs, officials of ministries and departments, scientific institutions and the expert community, public organizations, and the media. It was emphasized that in the context of climate change and pollution, the use of renewables and the transition to ecofriendly fuels are of urgent importance.
Reportedly, the combustion of hydrogen produces mainly water vapor, which has a higher energy density than organic fuels. The proposals and recommendations pointed to the need to consistently implement documents regulating the industrial production of green hydrogen.
The meeting featured a presentation of a hybrid autonomous technical complex operating on electricity from solar and wind sources, combined with hydrogen technology systems. The presentation highlighted this solution would serve to increase the stability and efficiency of the energy system.
The MPs noted the importance of swift implementation of scientific developments in hydrogen energy, enforcing energy security and raising public awareness. Finally, recommendations were developed to strengthen cooperation between government bodies, research institutions and scientists.
