Migration Agency has signed a cooperation agreement with US agricultural recruitment firm to expand employment opportunities for Uzbek citizens.

Under the agreement, the two sides will collaborate on preparing and placing Uzbek workers in seasonal agricultural jobs across the US via the federal H-2A visa program.

The project outlines the development of training curricula tailored specifically to the needs of US employers. This includes establishing dedicated English language and vocational training courses for candidates. The initiative will also implement a joint certification system to assess workers' practical skills, alongside transparent screening and deployment mechanisms.

The Agency will oversee candidate selection and brief workers on US labor laws and working conditions. Additionally, the agency is tasked with ensuring that citizens return to Uzbekistan in a timely manner once their seasonal contracts expire.

Uzbekistan received its first batch of labor requests under the US seasonal worker program in March. According to the agency, once recruitment drives are officially announced based on specific employer demands, citizens will only need to complete the standard, designated registration process to apply.
