On the sidelines of the summit of the Council on Cooperation and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.
The two sides discussed practical ways to strengthen and expand mutually beneficial ties between their countries.
At the start of the meeting, the head of the Vietnamese delegation conveyed greetings and best wishes to Mirziyoyev from To Lam, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee and the country’s president.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the rapid development of Uzbekistan-Vietnam relations. Trade is growing steadily, and regular contacts are maintained at various levels.
They noted broad opportunities for joint projects in petrochemicals, electrical engineering, textiles and agriculture. They also exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues.
