President Shavkat Mirziyoyev yesterday hosted the Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin, who arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.

Welcoming the guest, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed satisfaction with the consistent upward trend in the Uzbek-Kazakh friendship and strategic partnership ties, and the current momentum of mutually beneficial various sector cooperation.

The PM Askar Mamin thanked the President for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings and best wishes of the First President of Kazakhstan - Nursultan Nazarbayev and the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The parties noted that the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, for the first time held at the level of heads of government, is an effective mechanism for advancing the promising projects in the field of trade, investment, agriculture, transport and logistics, tourism and others.

Attention was paid to the expansion of interprovincial contacts, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchanges, including the holding of joint events in the framework of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.

Kazakhstan Prime Minister Askar Mamin reiterated his country’s commitment to further advance the bilateral partnership ties and unconditional implementation of the reached agreements.
