On August 6, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov was hosted by the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the ministry said in a statement.

As reported earlier, Abdulaziz Kamilov is visiting Turkey as the head of the government delegation to attend the first meeting of the Joint Strategy Planning Group co-chaired by the foreign ministers of the two states and the XI Annual Conference of Ambassadors of the Republic of Turkey.

The parties exchanged views on the progress of the agreements reached as part of the summit talks, the meetings of the mixed intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, the joint strategy planning group, and other aspects of the bilateral agenda, including the schedule of the main joint events,” the statement said.

Particular attention has been given to the preparations for the upcoming the first of the Supreme Council of the Strategic Partnership meeting to be chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey,.

The parties noted that the regular Uzbek-Turkish dialogue at the highest level, the atmosphere of trust, mutual respect and consideration of the interests of each other serve as the firm basis for further advancing bilateral cooperation.
