The second plenary session of the Senate of Uzbekistan will be held on February 28, the press service of the Senate said. The session’s agenda reportedly contains discussion of the Uzbekistan Citizenship Bill, Census Bill, Metrology Bill and International Commercial Arbitration Bill.

Senators will also consider the bills amending some regulations in connection with the establishment of additional guarantees of a child’s rights, introduction of information technologies in legal proceedings and optimization of the terms for pre-trial settlement of disputes.

In addition, the Hague Conference on Private International Law (The Hague, October 31, 1951) is also expected to be ratified during the session.

The Senate will also consider the issue of approving the president’s Measures to improve the socio-cultural atmosphere in society, further support of mahalla and elavating the system of work with family and women to a new level decree.

Senate members will hear the Interior Minister on the work of the police in the fight against and prevention of crime in 2019, as well as a report from the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
