At the Central Military District’s Kattakurgan field training ground, the largest in Uzbekistan, the military personnel for the first time tested the firing of 14.2-millimeter shells from the D-30 howitzer.

Typically, a 122-millimeter projectile is fired from the D-30. The servicemen of the Kattakurgan ground this time tested a 14.2-millimeter weapon during the night and day exercises. Burning and armor piercing shells fired in succession caused complete damage to the targets.

This weapon is intended for use by newly recruits of the artillery unit.
