Following a period of heavy precipitation, atmospheric inversion could once again intensify across Uzbekistan amid a relative increase in air temperatures, Uzhydromet said.
Reportedly, this phenomenon is particularly pronounced in several provinces of the country, including the Tashkent city and Samarkand and Jizzakh provinces, where air exchange in the ground layer of the atmosphere is limited during the morning, evening, and night hours.
This could result in unfavorable meteorological conditions, hindering the diffusion of pollutants.
Considering its natural and geographical location, topography, and weather conditions, Uzbekistan is generally considered an area with frequent and almost constant atmospheric inversions.
According to forecasts, warm weather and inversion processes will persist throughout the country until the end of the week.
