President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with, Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Defense Forces, Chief of the Pakistan Army, the Field Marshal Asim Munir at the headquarters of Global Industrial and Defense Solutions, the presidential press service said.
The parties discussed the ways to expand cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres, as well as coordinating efforts to counter modern security challenges and threats.
They pointed to the need to more actively develop cooperation between the two countries' leading defense industry enterprises, expand training programs for military specialists, exchange experience, and conduct joint exercises.
According to the presidential press service, they also discussed the ways to expedited the implementation of promising infrastructure projects in the transport and logistics sector and decided to prepare a roadmap for developing military and military-technical cooperation.
Following the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan was introduced to the developments of Global Industrial and Defense Solutions, including samples of modern Pakistani military equipment and weapons.
