On July 12 at 2:45 p.m., the Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department received a report of a fire on the tenth floor of the Uzbekistan Hotel, located on Mustaqillik Avenue in the Mirzo-Ulughbek district, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
Fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 2:49 p.m. and completely extinguished the flames by 2:54 p.m. Officials from the Ministry noted that the fire was put out rapidly thanks to the prompt activation of the building's automated fire safety systems.
The fire damaged a staff utility room on the 10th floor. No injuries or casualties were reported.
