From August 4 to 7, Zhu Huanli, Vice‑President of Yellow River Conservancy Technical University, headed a delegation for an educational exchange visit to Uzbekistan. The delegation paid visits to partner universities and Chinese‑funded enterprises to advance key tasks including the construction of the Dahe Workshop and the cultivation of international‑oriented talents. Persons‑in‑charge and relevant staff from the Foreign Liaison and Cooperation Office, School of Hydraulic Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering and other institutions joined the visit.

At Tashkent State Agrarian University, Zhu Huanli and his delegation held discussions with Abduraziz Abduvasikov, Vice‑President of the university, and other relevant officials. Zhu Huanli gave a detailed introduction to the history, development achievements and international cooperation of Yellow River Conservancy Technical University. He expressed the hope that both sides would leverage their distinctive strengths to jointly support talent training in the fields of water conservancy and agriculture in Central Asia. Afterwards, the two sides conducted in‑depth discussions on joint scientific research, faculty and student exchanges, talent training and other matters, reached consensus on cooperation and signed a memorandum of inter‑university cooperation.

At Tashkent KIMYO International University, Ulugbek Vasilkov, Vice‑President of the university, together with relevant officials, met with Zhu Huanli’s delegation. In response to local demands for new‑energy development and digital transformation of higher‑learning institutions, Zhu Huanli proposed to take the joint construction of the Dahe Workshop as a platform to promote new‑energy science‑and‑technology innovation and the training of interdisciplinary talents. Subsequently, both sides finalized the detailed rules for the joint construction of the Dahe Workshop, signed a co‑construction agreement and unveiled the plaque for the workshop. Meanwhile, a launching ceremony for jointly developed “AI + New Media” courses was held.

At China Energy Construction (Gezhouba) Samarkand Cement Co., Ltd., He Peng, Executive Deputy General Manager of the enterprise, gave a warm reception to Zhu Huanli and his delegation. The two sides had in‑depth exchanges on overseas skilled‑personnel training, and reached cooperation intentions covering customized training for enterprise employees and the joint building of overseas internship and employment bases.

In recent years, Yellow River Conservancy Technical University has been deeply engaged in international cooperation with Central Asia. It regularly provides skill training for teachers and students from Central Asian universities, and has built the distinctive cultural exchange brand “Exploring the Central Plains, Savouring the Yellow River” for Chinese‑foreign exchanges. Going forward, the university will fully translate the outcomes of this visit into practice and serve the high‑quality development of China’s Belt and Road Initiative through high‑level international educational cooperation.
